Design career ladder

One of the most important managers’ tasks is clearly defining the goal and expectations of their team. If expectations are clear, employees know what to focus on, and their goals are aligned with the organization’s goals. That increases chances of success, motivation, and engagement. Overall, the career ladder should be a tool that fosters career growth and not something that introduces unnecessary levels and hierarchy.

WHEN TO USE IT:

Feel free to use it often or even daily to create a ritual of self-acceptance and self-reflection, but especially when:

  • you want to work on accepting your emotions in a challenging situation,
  • you cannot change the situation,
  • your emotions are too strong to be able to change them by changing your thinking,
  • you face similar situations over and over again, all the while pushing your emotions to the side and avoiding dealing with the core problem.

BEHIND THE SCENES:

The template should give you all you need to start your journey into design levels, but if you want more insights into how I’ve done it, I wrote a blog post about my experience.
